Birma-Katzen werden, wie alle Point-Katzen, weiß geboren. Die Farbe der Points bildet sich erst nach einigen Tagen bis Wochen heraus. Die meisten Tiere dunkeln in den ersten Lebensjahren insbesondere an Rücken und Flanken sehr stark nach.
